Phone viewing can make a CCTV system more convenient when the owner is away from the recorder. Depending on the equipment, an app may support live views, recorded footage or notifications. These functions are not identical across systems, so confirm which features are included and which depend on the property's connection or an additional service.
Separate live viewing from recording in the planning conversation. Being able to see a camera now does not establish how much footage is retained or whether earlier events are available. Ask where recordings are stored and how authorized users find them. A useful setup should make those ordinary tasks understandable to the person managing the system.
Account ownership also matters. Decide which property representative controls the account and which other users need access. Avoid an arrangement in which nobody at the property knows who can update permissions. Ask about the supported process for changing users when staff responsibilities change or when the business transfers management to another person.
770 Doors & Windows can include phone-viewing requirements in the camera installation discussion. Tell us who needs access and whether they primarily want live monitoring or playback. During handover, review the functions included with the selected equipment and retain the relevant product information so future service can be based on the system actually installed.
